Are you an experienced transcriptionist with a background in legal or law enforcement transcription? Resolute Documentation Services is currently hiring skilled, detail-oriented professionals for a remote, full-time transcriptionist position—exclusively available to residents of Southern California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe verbatim and summary law enforcement recordings, including interviews, reports, and investigations.

  • Accurately process multi-speaker files with high clarity and consistency.

  • Maintain a minimum transcription speed of 150 lines per hour (lines = 65 characters including spaces).

  • Meet strict formatting guidelines and turnaround times.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in transcription (legal or law enforcement setting).

  • Demonstrated ability to transcribe law enforcement reports and verbatim interviews with high accuracy.

  • Typing speed of 80 WPM or higher.

  • Must be a Southern California resident (Los Angeles area preferred).

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check conducted in person.

  • High attention to detail, grammar, punctuation, and legal terminology.

Equipment & Technical Requirements

  • A PC running Windows 10 or newer.

  • USB foot pedal for transcription playback.

  • Wired high-speed internet connection (fiber or cable only – wireless/satellite not accepted).

  • Ability to connect computer directly via Ethernet cable to your internet router (Wi-Fi not permitted).

Compensation and Benefits

💵 Pay Range: $19.44 – $28.00 per hour (Based on experience and production)
⏱️ Expected Weekly Hours: 40 hours
🎯 Incentive Pay: Offered for exceeding production thresholds
