About the Role

Resolute Documentation Services is seeking highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Transcriptionists for a full-time, remote contract position. This opportunity requires candidates to live in Southern California due to mandatory in-person background checks conducted in the Los Angeles area before employment commencement.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional transcription experience in law enforcement or legal settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately transcribe complex law enforcement recordings.

  • Typing speed of at least 80 words per minute (WPM) with a high accuracy rate.

  • Must be a resident of Southern California. Applications from outside this region will be automatically declined.

  • Successful completion of an in-person background check is mandatory.

Technical & Equipment Requirements

  • A personal computer running Windows 10 or later.

  • USB transcription foot pedal for efficient audio control.

  • Reliable, wired internet connection (cable or fiber optic)—no satellite or wireless broadband permitted.

  • Ability to connect your computer directly to the router via Ethernet cable (Wi-Fi connections are not accepted).

Compensation & Benefits
