🔍 About the Role

Koombea is seeking a Senior AI Python Developer to help us build scalable, AI-powered backend solutions using Python and AWS. You’ll be part of a high-performance team crafting modern applications that serve global clients and tackle real-world challenges.

💡 What You’ll Do

Design and develop backend services using Python (Flask, FastAPI)
Build and maintain ETL pipelines, especially RDS ➝ S3 workflows
Work extensively with AWS services like Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2, VPC, Glue, and API Gateway
Integrate AI/ML tools such as AWS SageMaker, Bedrock (nice to have), and Cursor (required)
Create secure, scalable RESTful APIs
Apply clean code principles, OOP best practices, and participate in architecture discussions

🧠 What You Bring

5+ years of experience in Python backend development
Deep hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, Glue, S3, RDS, VPC, EC2)
Experience designing ETL pipelines, especially data migration from RDS to S3
Familiarity with AI/ML tools (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Cursor)
Experience building and managing RESTful APIs
Knowledge of microservices, serverless systems, and AWS architecture patterns
C1-level English fluency
Agile, proactive mindset and ability to thrive in cross-functional teams

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or AI/ML track)
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-based APIs
JavaScript knowledge, especially React or Vue.js
