🎨 About the Role: Senior Product Designer

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing design team and help shape the future of AllTrails. You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and marketers to create delightful, functional, and meaningful experiences that inspire millions to get outside and stay connected to nature.

From trail discovery and trip planning to growth experiments and mobile UI design, you’ll own the end-to-end design process across web, iOS, and Android platforms. If you’re a high-craft designer with a strong product sense and a love for the outdoors, this could be the perfect fit.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional product design initiatives that elevate AllTrails’ user experience and brand

  • Apply your skills in visual design, interaction design, UX, and prototyping to create intuitive experiences across web and mobile

  • Independently own design projects from discovery through delivery—including research, concept development, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI

  • Collaborate across product areas such as trail discovery, navigation, and growth to drive user engagement and satisfaction

  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and user needs throughout the design process

  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability

  • Play an active role in fostering design culture, offering feedback, and mentoring peers when needed

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • 5–7 years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products for iOS, Android, and web

  • High-level proficiency in UX, visual, and interaction design

  • Ability to lead projects independently, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong product thinking and a data-informed approach—you rely on user research, A/B testing, and analytics to drive design decisions

  • Familiarity with inclusive design practices including accessibility and localization

  • Passion for the outdoors and helping people experience it more meaningfully

  • Comfort using AI tools to increase creative output, ideate, and iterate faster—you embrace experimentation with generative design tools and workflows

  • A humble, open-minded team player who gives and seeks feedback often

  • Experience working across both startups and larger tech companies

  • Background in growth design or conversion optimization

  • Prior work in outdoor, travel, wellness, or mapping-related products

💰 Compensation

Salary Range: $157,500 – $177,500 per year

Actual compensation depends on several factors including skills, experience, and qualifications. Most candidates are hired near the middle of this range.
