🏷️ Position Overview: Warehouse Assistant I (Part-Time)

As a Warehouse Assistant at Wilsonart, you’ll be hands-on in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately, safely, and on time. From organizing inventory to fulfilling orders, your role is essential to keeping our operations moving smoothly.

🚚 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Receive and inspect materials from vendors and internal facilities

  • Place goods in the appropriate storage bins

  • Match materials to manifest records and report discrepancies

  • Notify supervisors and document any damaged goods

  • Cut oversized laminate materials for custom orders

  • Read, interpret, and pack customer orders

  • Complete skid counts and prepare shipments

  • Provide direct support to meet customer order requirements

🧠 Skills We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an expert on day one—we’ll help you get there.
Here’s what helps you thrive in this role:

  • Basic computer skills (for inventory lookups and data entry)

  • Understanding or willingness to learn material handling and packing methods

  • Ability to follow instructions independently

  • Experience or capability to operate a forklift and saw

  • Ability to read order forms and ensure accuracy in fulfillment

  • Comfortable with hands-on physical work and moderate equipment operation

🎓 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse or logistics experience

  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials over 50 lbs regularly

  • Able to work in an industrial environment with temperature variations, strong odors, and moderate noise levels
