Job Overview – What You’ll Do

As a Freelance Transcriptionist with CastingWords, you’ll be responsible for converting audio content into accurate, written text. You can also access tasks in editing, reviewing, and grading, depending on your level and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe audio files with accuracy and consistency

  • Edit or grade other freelancers’ submissions (once eligible)

  • Follow style guidelines and project instructions

  • Improve your level and pay by producing high-quality work

Compensation – How Much Can You Earn?

🎧 Pay Range: $0.085 to $1.00+ per audio minute
đź’¸ Bonus-Based Model: The better your grade, the higher your pay:

  • Grade 0–4: Rejected – not paid

  • Grade 5: Base pay

  • Grade 6: 1.5x base pay

  • Grade 7: 2.0x base pay

  • Grade 8: 2.5x base pay

  • Grade 9: 3.0x base pay

Different task types (transcription, editing, grading) and difficulty levels also affect your earnings.

Requirements
