  • Part-time, ~10–15 hours per week during recruitment seasons

  • Events mostly Sept–Nov (fall) and Feb–June (spring)

  • Some after-hours and weekend work required

  • Minimal hours during winter and summer (training provided)

Salary

$20.00 per hour

Role Summary

Represent Penn State Undergraduate Admissions at local college fairs and high schools. Provide outstanding customer service and information about Penn State campuses, programs, and admissions processes. Work closely with recruitment staff and local alumni.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and represent Penn State at in-person/virtual high school visits and college fairs

  • Share detailed admissions information and help prospective students and families

  • Support recruitment goals collaboratively with admissions staff

  • Assist with special projects or events as needed

  • Travel locally to schools and events; occasionally to University Park, PA

  • Stand for up to 3 hours and carry event materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable using technology for job functions

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks

  • Able to travel, stand, and carry materials as needed
