Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative WHS Manager to support our mission. The Multi-Site WHS Manager will provide WHS support to multiple sites within their region, ensuring execution of company safety policies and compliance with local and regional regulations.
The successful candidate will leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives, reducing conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes. This will ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates.
The Multi-Site WHS Manager must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise, and consistent messages both verbally and in writing. They will instruct and train operations leaders in Amazon safety policies and assist site teams in incorporating our safety standards.

Responsibilities
Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.
Measure sites’ performance against published requirements in WHS policies, identifying plans for implementation and fixing deficiencies.
Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to discover areas requiring resource allocation.
Perform frequent site safety audits, implementing solutions to eliminate risks and prevent injury.
Audit record-keeping practices, Gensuite entries, workplace organization, and Associate behaviors.
Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
Audit the quality, delivery, and effectiveness of required safety training.
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in safety program knowledge, environmental awareness, and ergonomic knowledge when working with Operations. They will also possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
This position requires up to 50-70% travel time and flexibility regarding shifts. First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within three weeks of start date.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
People and performance management experience or 2+ years of Amazon Safety experience
Preferred Qualifications
Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
Certified Safety Professional preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.
Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and pivot tables, charts, and graphics development.
Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely.
