As an AVP of Internal Audit, you’ll help shape our risk-based approach to auditing and compliance in alignment with our continued growth and regulatory obligations. From working with the Audit Committee to guiding teams through SOX, this is your chance to work at the center of operational excellence and process improvement.

Your Core Responsibilities

Lead and execute internal audits across key financial and operational functions
Perform risk assessments, control testing, and scope development for audits
Deliver clear, concise audit reports and presentations for leadership and committees
Drive SOX compliance efforts, including testing internal controls for design and effectiveness
Oversee remediation efforts, ensuring control gaps are addressed on time

Represent Internal Audit during regulatory exams and special reviews
Act as a mentor, coach, and guide for junior audit staff
Contribute to continuous improvement and audit best practices

What You Bring to the Table

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
4+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or finance
Proven experience in banking, financial services, or fintech is a strong plus
Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Credentials & Skills:

CPA, CIA, or CISA (strongly preferred)
Background in Big 4 public accounting
Familiarity with SOX 404, control documentation, and testing
Strong grasp of banking regulations like Reg E, UDAP, TILA, AML, etc.
Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and report-writing skills
Clear communication and comfort interacting with executives and regulators

Compensation & Rewards

💵 Compensation:

Base Salary Range: $85,000 – $140,000
Annual Cash Bonus Target: 5%
Restricted Stock Units (RSUs): 5% annual target (discretionary)
Note: Pay will vary based on experience, location, and credentials.
